Hi all - first post on the board!
I'm looking to ditch my nogrip tyres in favour of something decent for my S3. Michedever have given me an excellent price on a set of Bridgestone RE720 205/60 VR 15 (I take it this is the correct size - the car has 15" Chimaera alloys all round).
Where do you guys go for fitting - how happy are garages to fit tyres that you havent bought for them? I figure I prob need to just get on the phone - but any experiences would be welcome.

Some places won't do it when they're busy but other than that you should be OK. Expect to pay 5-10 quid per corner though.

My S1 has Pirelli 5000s fitted by the previous owner. As I have never driven any other S s since I bought mine I obviously have no idea how they compare to the much favored Bridgestones.
Anyone else used the Pirellis.

Thats why Im keener on the Bridgestones - If u do a search for tyres in these forums there is quite a bit of discussion - it seems a lot of tyres can cut it in the dry but not in the wet - and its wet most of the time in Scotland!! I'm now used to driving my TIV like a Ford Fiesta after a couple of hairy spins (not to mention the gearbox falling apart) - will be nice to get some grip back so I can give it a bit of welly 
I had RE720's put on all corners earlier this year replacing the existing RE71's and the difference is meteoric !
I have now driven about 3-4000 miles with these tyres in all conditions from monsoon rain to baking hot days.
They offer superb grip in the dry and only squeal when pushed extremely hard. Breakaway is progressive and often recoverable.
The level of wet weather grip is great and you can cornering with some enthusiasm and standing water is no issue on the motorway anymore.
As for fitting - Micheldever fitted mine. Most places wikll do it and it might be worth trying to book a slot during 'off peak' times with a local fitter.

I fitted 4 Bridgestone RE720's to my S3c during the Summer and found their all-round performance to be spot on. Incidently, I've got 2 half-worn RE71's in the garage which are still good for the road or ideal for trackdays,so if anyone wants to make me an offer, get in contact.
