Thanks for that, appreciate the feedback, I will see if I can add anything else to the info 'pot'. Now back to the puzzle of the 'new' engine! (see that thread).

Somethings not right!

Purchased some E30 indicator lenses and no way will they fit. Wrong size in both directions ie too tall and not wide enough.

Have I missed something or have I been sold the wrong parts?

What dimesions have you on these?

Sussed it (I think)

If you go down the BMW route ensure you purchase lenses for an E30 (not M3) the M3 ones are taller and narrower.

Doh!

Now to get those M3 ones changed..........

Read somewhere Nissan Terrano II front indicators fitted. I saw some complete brand new units on e:bay £2.99 each (+P&P) so I took a chance and bought them. The lens is just the correct size to fit into the hole (rather than fit fit flush on outside like original sherpa ones) but hey for £6 whose complaining.

Any interested the details are Nissan Terrano II part nbrs 085200 (near side) and 085201 (offside)

It will be a while until I fit them has i have only just lifted body off and started welding chassis. Bought some paint for chassis to complement the dark green body not sure of colour - whats think? (I'm not too sure)

Aaarghh! me eyes, me eyes, I've bin blinded!!!!! yikes cool

Errr .............. Noooooooooooooo. yuck

Now add a little red to that or black, like 10 Litres worth, that may just tone it down to a bit more reasonable colour.

PS, You're not colour blind are you? hehe

Hey everyone to their own... I quite like it actually and can see your reasoned link to the green body colour...

Maybe I'm biased now since my recent efforts with red hammerite... if i never see another tin it will be too soon...

go for it !

Sorry Grumpybear, I should have mentioned that the M3 one doesnt fit! You will find the E30 very slightly narrower and just a touch taller than the recess in the old BL unit, it is not an exact fit (hey, dont want it too easy!) but I didnt have any problems getting the lens lined up and glued on. Like to know how you get on and to find out if you become Happybear.
