Following on from my Clifford Alarms enquiry. It appears that the problems with the central locking result from a faulty switch/motor in the drivers door.

The unit in question is I am told a 5 wire motorised switch and is marked "Rockwell International" I would be interested to hear from anyone who may have a working spare unit or even a non-working unit from which bits could be used.

Ps. Dealer replies welcome

Just before you replace the motor - Have you checked the connectors at the motor end and the wire continuity thorugh the door aperture. Both of mine went at the same time - but the motor was fine.

Update.
The cars alarm and central locking has been checked by an alarm expert. He confirms that all connections are working and the wiring is fine. The problem is with the switch/motor and I am trying to source an exact match in the first instance.
