WINDSCREEN WIPER MOTORS

Ok,

Time for another really silly question from the shiny new S1.5 owner.

The speed of the windscreen wiper motors are incredibly slow at slow speed, and just about wot I would consider normal slow speed at "high" speed. Is this a normal trait for the S's or have I got to replace them.

Also are there any S type owners anywhere in deepest darkest Norfolk?

Mine is just as slow.
Thats the real reason we all have to ease off when its raining.

Yes, but only every so often. I am from North Walsham and regularly go back to use my dad's garage and his skills to work on mine as I have no garage space here in London.

I also have a S 1.5 and welcome the opportunity to poke around anyone else's car and welcome the same with mine.

Yeah that would be geat only other local S is a rather good condition S3 owned by one of the bosses here.

You are pretty local at North Walsham as I am just down the road at Coltishall

The wiper motor on an S is lifted from a Mini (amongst many others.

It wasn't particularly good then and it was powering wipers that were only 10" long (I think) - the TVR has larger ones so it is even less effective.

Has anyone managed an upgrade?

You'll be lucky. I asked this question two years ago and the answer was no then... :-(
