As I exlplained to Paul, it is not economically viable to make these as 1 offs and they are so slow moving I can no longer justify keeping batches of them in stock. The last batch of 12 I made took 3 years to sell whilst others were selling them for nearly twice the price I was asking. Same with stainless swirl tanks, I can make them in batches and still hace a few 2.8 ones on the shelf but not economically viable for me to mask one offs. I dont really understand the logic of the TVR S market anymore, someone has just made an aluminium one for £110 and I couldn,t sell stainless ones for £85.
Everything has to be laser cut to ensure precision and fuel tanks need to be pressure tested (which most people dont do). If I can get sufficient orders to justify a batch, accompanied by deposits then I will produce some, maybe make a batch during winter depending on workload. sTeVeR

I suspect it's largely because people don't know what you have available. I made a mental note a long time ago that you were the person to ask when I needed one, but I don't know how anyone else would find out about that unless they happened to talk to somebody who knew.DC Developments do not have S series tanks available. I rang them yesterday and they said they get half a dozen calls per month about this. They haven't made one for many years, and would need an original tank to copy in order to make a bespoke one.

Theu get half a dozen calls a month about this and they haven't thought it might be worth meeting the demand? The tssers don't deserve to be in business. That's my bit of management consultancy for the day. Where do I send my invoice? Very happy with the total restoration Hartlepool Radiator did on my steel tank and the system they use carries a 25 year guarantee and is a LOT cheaper than the c£600 I was given as a rough estimate for a 'stainless' tank, and anybody who has seen a 'stainless' tank which has been in flexible mountinghs and exposed to road salt for a lot less than 25 years will know why I put 'stainless'.

agreed - there are numerous 'stainless' steel material specifications and their usable uses vary accordingly, most are not suitable for the long term atmospheric / roadsalt conditions.Seem to remember Terry had a V8 s tank in his V6 so he might be able to tell you the difference - something about making the exhausts go around the collector in the middle so you might be able to do it the other way round ? Expect you can find him on FB if you want to ask him unless he reads this first.....
