Having to drive to and then into London tomorrow, and will either arrive at end of M1 or M4. Then got to get to Peckham. I do not in the slightest trust sat navs to do this bit of the journey as they have a habit of taking routes that are wholly inadvisable to drive. I am gathering the north circ would be a good idea for the first bit (if M1 obvs) but looking for 'locals' to maybe give me some tips please? ta

Go M4, stay on A4, turn right at Earls Court and follow road down to the River / Embankment, turn left keeping the Thames on your right. Turn right over Vauxhall bridge and go straight over lights past the Vauxhall Tavern, then turn right then left and drive past the Oval and then go dead straight untill you enter HELL, or as you call it Peckham! Highly recommend a stab vest! Good luck shoot

wow, well i think that was what i actually did do... however before i saw this message. It felt like we'd gone completely wrong and it took about 2hrs to get across town, so if that's the best way then I will look forward to being able to skip the car next time!! thanks though. Didn't get stabbed. TBH it's a gentrification target now, mainly hipsters and families.
