I use to live in a property with a driveway so I always washed my own car. bBut now I live in a apartment I don't have that luxury anymore. I'm looking for a self service car wash in London. I don't fancy taking my car to a general car wash for the simple reason that the workers use the same old cloths to clean a million cars and then set loose on my pride and joy. And none of them know a thing about taking care when cleaning a car. In Europe they have plenty of places that offer self service car wash facilities and even the USA has coin operated car washes where you can take as long as you like. Is there any in London or even the UK for that matter??? I know some petrol stations have the self service machines but generally they are broken and have massive queues. I don't fancy getting moody looks from the car driver behind waiting for their turn to wash. lol

1) is this a serious question?

2) London is quite big. You may need to narrow it down and just look at petrol stations with pressure washers.

No personal experience of them, but I've seen a 'Worx' battery powered pressure washer that could do the trick? The issue with the self service ones is they're actually quite expensive, certainly more than a local hand car wash. I'm fortunate to have a drive atm and can use my karcher but I'm moving soon and will research the battery powered pressure washer so I can hose down the motorbike in the winter.

Bigger BP and Tesco garages have the “buy time” machines. Punch your postcode in their station finder thingy as they list whether they have these facilities.

They claim to use filtered water so are safe to rinse without drying, but I’ve found the filters are usually crap and water spots will appear unless you dry. YMMV etc.
