Bank Holiday Monday 26/08 — Caffeine & Machine

My mate has suggested visiting Caffeine & Machine (CV37 7NS) next Monday as it’s a bank holiday. We have a few different cars joining us along the way and at the venue itself. Anyone interested in coming along?

Plan is to meet at Beaconsfield Services (HP9 2SE) at 7.45am and then leave at 8am for Caffeine & Machine (ETA 9.20am). They do very nice coffees there! Breakfast, snacks, drinks etc also available.

We think Caffeine & Machine will get very busy quickly that morning on account of it being a bank holiday so it might be worth booking a guaranteed parking spot (£10 but redeemable against a free hot or cold non-alcoholic drink of your choice). This is completely optional as you can also pay when you rock up to the place but a parking spot isn’t guaranteed and you might get told to come back later. More details here.

We will also take the opportunity to go for a drive afterwards as there are some nice roads around the area before stopping for a bite at a pub. You’re more than welcome to join us!

Did you go in the end? Mine was the Monaro parked out front for a couple of hours early afternoon. I'll have to get up there again soon!

Yup we got there at about 9.30am and it turned out to be one of the busiest days they’ve ever had. Always so much to see there, maybe next time we’ll go there in the evening!

I do remember seeing your Monaro out front, very nice!

Thanks! Yeah it was heaving, took us 20 mins or so of going up and down that road/waiting in the business park before we got in. Was the orange R8 yours?

Haha me and my mate spent a bit of time at the entrance watching all the chaos unfolding as more cars kept turning up and trying to get into place!

We were actually responsible for bringing about bringing nearly twenty cars to Caffeine & Machine in the morning although everyone pre-booked parking to be safe.

The orange Gen 2 R8 belongs to my mate, I was in the silver Gen 1 R8 GT parked in the corner of the main car park.
