Like many, I live in a terraced house in London, and my only options for cleaning my car tend to be the dirty-sponge human traffickers or silly expensive 'detailers'.

The only decent (by which I mean clean and modern) car wash I'm aware of is in Vauxhall, 200m inside the congestion zone.

Can anyone recommend any others, particularly in SW London?

I used to go to a local garage with a jet wash and my bucket and sponge and shampoo etc when it was quiet, normally late at night

Jet wash the car down and use the jet wash to fill the bucket, give the car a good wash and then jet wash it down again, then dry it etc, the garage never had an issue and i still do it if i am away from home on holiday etc

Makes sense. I used the Esso in Streatham, which was absolutely, unspectacularly fine.

You must be local to me.

I use this place, despite the Esso being much closer

Two bays out the way around the back, can pay by contactless card.

Sadly that's a bit of a trek for me from Balham, but it sounds ideal.

In case you are still looking, the Shell on the A3 just on the other side of Wandsworth has been redone and has 4 big jet wash bays now.
