Hi all,

Looking for a hand car wash around Newcastle that I can take my car into when it's too cold for a wash

Just one I can drive in and out without having my paint scratched by sponges and dried using the dreaded squeezie blades.

Usually wash the car myself but it's too cold right now frown

Thanks

I've started using the one near the Arena. It is quick (maybe 10mins) and cheap (£5). But it is also just like all the rest of them: unknown chemicals, unknown sponges used for a very long time without rinsing, and squeegee blades to dry.

If you care, there is no alternative to DIY.

The lads at the top end of Newbiggin (fairly local to both of us i think) do a good job and no squeegee's.
I would recommend them for the terminally lazy, like myself.biggrin

^^^Thanks for this, I'll give them a go. I have used the one next door to Ashington McDonalds but it takes forever. It's too cold and I have too many other things to do to do it myself at the moment.

Try DDB Detailing behind the Silverlink, pretty sure they do a Saturday morning service wash for £15 with a coffee while you wait.

Granted, not a £5 cheapy but you'll get the same wash and same products as if they were starting a £700 full Gtechniq detail and machine polish.

Another vote for DDB, not cheap but you get what you pay for, I think you have to book a time slot in advance with them
