Myself and the wife are meeting a few friends and their kids for dinner in Newcastle and they have asked us to pick a restaurant.

I’m not from Newcastle.

Any recommendations on anywhere?

Preferably somewhere nicer and a little upmarket, but where it will be fine to take well behaved young kids.

Thanks!

I was going to say have a look at Trakol, but not sure how adventurous the youngsters are with food. It's not in Newcastle, strictly speaking, but not far away wink

Cafe 21 in Trinity Gardens behind the law court on the Quayside will hit the spot.

Another café 21 vote. Or a booth at St Vincent.
