Holy Island - actual crossing times

We’re up in Seahouses, and as tomorrow looks a bit gloomy we might drive over to Holy Island.
The last time I did this I wanted to watch the tide coming in and covering the causeway, but leaving for the “last” safe crossing the sea was still nowhere to be seen, and we had to go and have a meal and then come back to see it properly coming in.
The last safe time seems to be given by watching the ice cream van, who, as the water started lapping over the low point came across at about 90 miles an hour, just getting his treads damp, but does anyone know how long after the official time the water is expected to touch the road?
I’d love my little boy to see it, but waiting two hours, sitting quietly just isn’t going to happen.
