come on then explain??? the half a dozen that sit outside my office when not in use certainly have always had the same plates on.

rubbish , sometimes surveillance cars and soca cars, but unmarked traffic cars are definetley not ghosted.
It might help if you quote the actual "rubbish" and not my post, just for clarity wink

What would be the point of "ghosting" anyway?. Most people can't remember their own number plate, never mind the one on the unmarked Skoda/BMW/Focus etc etc that they just saw. As for the scumbag brigade, they either wouldn't care or would know what sort of cars plod are using anyway and treat any car of those types accordingly.

I'm not going to say which force I work for.

I will say that I have seen unmarked traffic cars have their plates changed - different prefixes and numerals.

There's a red NX-reg Focus, not an ST, but kitted out with blue lights and sirens. Saw it about the Boro area a couple of weeks ago, probably not traffic but they don't need to be to tug you...

Unmarked in Stockton - A dark blue or black Audi Estate (A4/A6?) Reg starts with HG. Yes - very vague!

Definitely a bobby car? There's a black Audi that's a doctors or similar, kitted with blues and twos.

Anyone have any idea why there's an unmarked blue Skoda permanently sat in Boro bus station? NX plate, extra aerials, I've never seen it move?

You can tell me................I can keep a secret ( Honestly - I can).

NX prefix?
Couldn't possibly confirm that. Or the fact that there's an extra aerial on the back window.

I think it was a senior plod car rather than a Patrol type, but for sure had the rear lights etc in the windows.
Training cars. But can still have a word if you're being a muppet... hehe

yes some knobhead in a grey van was tailgateing me down the 174 towards greystones roundabout so I moved over after the roadworks ended and he shot past me only to discover that 50 yards on that very car was in front of me and it lit up like a christmas tree he must have st himself.

That one came cruising through the small ind estate where I work, the other week. Seen it loads on the roads of Derwentside recently and was part of a big ANPR op in Stanley last summer.

Saw that parked with a few other Plod Vehicles (all with blues going) in Newton Bewley a few weeks ago, with Air Support overhead.
