Yes agree some fantastic cars, only ever spotted that XJ220 once before, considering it lives round the corner from me its a rare spot!

Some of the old yank stuff was excellent, some lovely TVR's liked the bright blue Griff, the 993 911 was a very nice colour, naturally the two astons and the 360 spider, as you might guess my knowledge of old cars is very very limited.

Would have made a big exit, however way way too many ppl at this years event, was just too many kids walking on the paths either side, plus the guy who decided to throw his daughter into the road quickly followed by himself in front of me (great idea) put an end to getting my foot down!

Yeah, I was stood by the side of the road ready to photo you in full launch mode when that berk wandered across the road - totally spoilt my shot as well as your getaway. Some people eh?

Were you at the Corbridge show earlier on in the month - when it absolutely hammered down?

Yes was at a rather soaked corbridge! Didnt really see much just sat in the pub and watched the Formula 1 to keep out of the rain.

I do like solid blue colours, dont see many cars with them, someones got an RS6 near me in a very similar colour think it looks fantastic!

This event was Monday 21st June last year .... does anybody know if it's taking place again this year ? I guess it would be next Monday 20th if taking place on the equivalent day this year ...

I've just checked and it has been delayed 'til August - no date yet - will be published in a couple of weeks time

Are you sure? I was told last week by a friend that had been taking to the new organiser and he said it was to be on this Monday.

Yes sadly it is cancelled due to alleged insurance reasons with the old moaners of the parish council. The people who run Wolviston & Hardwick Hall shows are trying to put it together for August, so fingers crossed for then.

I've been told it by someone today at a show too and when it is on you have to prebook and its limited to around 50 cars.

How long has this been going does anybody know? I grew up there (until 2002...ish) and can't remember seeing anything like it on the village green whilst I was a kid!

I'll hopefully be able to get to the next one, I usually get a text along the lines of "oh yeah, that classic car thing was on the green last week I forgot to tell you about it!" from friends in the village!

Don't think Elwick was on, there was a small one at Hardwick park on Tuesday night that I only found out about at 5pm on Tuesday. Some tasty metal was in attendance though.
