No not me either. You've got a limited audience in this forum. Should post this in 'Chimaera' forum.

Aye, but the new owner is a local lad, so thought he may 'tune into' this new NE forum. Would be nice to see my old car on the n yorks run in a few weeks....

So how come all you guys 'wouldn't say no to a chimaera',but no one would buy it when it was for sale Typical eh!

We wouldn't say no to it if it was free - but if your asking cold hard cash for it, erm, sorry I've got about £2.60 on me - is that enough?

Apparently my old car was spotted yesterday... which is clever since it was scrapped after being written off good style last august!

Three of the cars I have scrapped over the years are still registered and taxed. There's money in those old bent cars.

'wouldn't say no to a chimaera'?
The only phrase I have heard Bomb use is:
......'wouldn't say no to a beer'!

Unusual to see "scrapped" TVRs on the road - they usually rip the engines out of them to use as starter motors for AMGs

It's a car - not a pony! You're not meant to form a life-long bond with the thing, or the next owner! (unless it's a fit girlie)

But why?! It was a H reg 1.1 festa, already had been classed an 'uneconomical repair' when the previous owner had someone drive into it. There is no way this one could have been repaired and put back on the road, and I can't see what the benefit would be of using the plates!

I'm as shocked as you. One of these cars was recoverable. It was a 4yr old Clio that my son rolled. The one I struggle with is the 'B' reg Nova that I scrapped for my father-in-law. It was a complete wreck.

I'll probably fill the back with Bacardi and Barramundi wine and sell it on the council estates to alcoholic seafarers looking for a "fix".

If you are looking for a name for your "pony" How about "Dobbin"?

Ah, I've just been reliably informed that they look thin because it wasn't actually inflated... two of the tyres were shredded, that one had popped and one was left intact...
