Lincolnshire PHers?
Discussion
The Tawny Owl Pub, Fernwood, Newark is quite a central meeting place, it overlooks the A1 and has a fairly large car park. Then there is a Shell garage about 5 miles down the A1 at Newark. Cliosport used to use it for their Midlands meets and was big enough for that. It is also a 5 min walk from my work not that I'm biased!
Myself and a few friends would certainly be up for a meet/drive, as long as you don't mind a few Hot Hatches joining in (Fn2 Type R/Astra Vxr/Focus St) we're not chavs I promise!

More the merrier as far as I am concerned.
True car enthusiasts aren't defined by the depth of their pockets, but by their love for cars. And it gives the owners of the expensive stuff a chance to enjoy a bit admiration for their taste in cars, rather than getting the usual unpleasant envy.
I have been the "poor relation" on a run in East Anglia for two years running in my TVR Chimaera, but was always made welcome. The other cars? Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Astons, 911 Turbos - all owned by true gentlemen. They all love their cars and are interested in others'.

I would be interested in coming along to something like this!True car enthusiasts aren't defined by the depth of their pockets, but by their love for cars. As said above, I plan to organise a run for a Sunday in March or April. If past runs are anything to go by, we obey all village speed limits strictly, making quick progress and enjoying our cars' acceleration where we can safely. It's simply more fun on dry roads - my TVR is a hoot to drive in the dry (60 comes up in 4 seconds), but I tend to be a tad wary on greasy wet roads.
I will post on this thread as I get organised.
At the moment I am thinking of planning two - one based around the Newark area, thanks to the enthusiastic response from this area, and one based around mid-Lincs, as the Lincoln to Louth road is a favourite of mine from my visits to Cadwell Park. You are all of course welcome to come on both, be it in your Festa or your Fezza.

Lincoln .
I only have a company car so will probably not attend the meet, sounds fun though
You woud be most welcome. I will never be able to afford a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but its fun going to meets like this because you get to chat to enthusiastic owners about their cars and enjoy looking over them. Come along and enjoy. My passenger seat will very likely be available if the company jalopy has a Peckham registration plate......I only have a company car so will probably not attend the meet, sounds fun though

I've just been told about this, I shall be attending when possible. Good location for many as just off the A46:
