I'll agree with that? I've lived in Mansfield all my life ( only 26 years) and them 2 are probably best places to choose from. Mansfield itself is a vibrant little town with a few nice places to eat etc depending on what you like and nightlife is alright although same place constantly can get a little boring imo

I've got to admit it's 10 years since I've really been to Mansfield after working there for more than 20 years but I always remember it as a run down ex-mining town where if you went to a club and asked a girl to go outside, she thought you wanted to fight her not fk her.Edited by marsh_1988 on Saturday 20th June 19:46
I guess it's changed
Got to agree with the suggestions but I'd also add some of the villages to the East like Farnsfield etc
Well I guess the budget has got to play a little into the choice of area, saying that a quick Rightmove search of a mile from my gaff in Sutton has a spread from £57k-£1.5M
Like has been said, Ravenshead is probably the largest area of condensed 'quality' but I bet there's not much available in the Abbey grounds for under 7 figures, Berry Hill isn't bad for 'new build'.

Yeah I'd say Kirkby area myself, as for Mansfield there's some nice houses on Nottingham road just down from west Nottinghamshire college I believe some are for sale aswell, possibly in your budget, btw did you get my message?
Thanks for that, I'll take a look.I haven't received any message. Was it to my aol account?
http://m.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/property/mansfield/... there the houses I mean and are literally a 5-10min walk into Mansfield and near a college for children, and also has Parkway specialist Cars on same road
I have lived in Kirkby (Kirkby-In-Ashfield) for the last 13 years. Nearly moved 5 years ago to Bingham (south Nottingham), the exact same size house in the middle of a large housing estate was £100k more, just for a postcode.
Like all areas, good and bad are within.
Kirkby area is excellent for commuting, some good schools in/out of catchment, two supermarkets & local shops. Mansfield has the main shops and Nottingham is £3.00 on the new trams from Hucknall.
