Car park damage - body repair in Nottingham required
Discussion
Morning guys,
I've had the worst morning
Just parked up in the same car park I've been using for the last 12 months and careless scraped my passenger front wheel arch and drivers' side rear wheel arch against the wall (not another car, I'm not like that!).
I'm literally heart broken right now as I've been so careful with this car but I'm just going to have to deal with it and hope my dad doesn't blow his lid when he sees it.
Anyway I was hoping someone could recommend a good body shop in Nottingham, somewhere I could leave the car in the morning and collect after work when he's done.
Thanks for your help.

The spot where I was trying to park, is just one bay, with a wall to my left and a pillar to my right. Went in at totally the wrong angle
Guessing you scrape one side, panicked and kept driving forward and then did the other side? Might be in the bodyshop for a few days with that damage. At the end of the day, the car is there to take the damage so you don't. Your dad might not be pleased about it, but I'm sure he won't blow his lid. By comparison I'm sure your dad has had his moments in a past car and 90% of the posters on this website have. You could have hurt yourself or somebody else, but you didn't. You hit an inanimate object. Worst things have happened.I'm sure there will be people along shortly to tell you that you're an idiot and shouldn't be on the road, ignore them. st happens. Cars get scraped, cars get bashed.

How on earth did you manage to scrape both sides of the car in the same day ?

walls to the left of me, pillars on the right, here I am stuck in the middle
Assuming your the right age anyway, otherwise ignore me

There's a few like that in the underground at the Victoria centre, always looks a good safe spot. But not on this occasion....... Ouch

Yeah very similar to the victoria centre mate, the funny thing is that I've parked in that very spot many times before albeit with a bit of precision. Today I just don't know what happened.Reminds me of the song

Own up, which car park? I hate Vic Centre, although the entrance to the NCP near the castle is always "good fun" in a bigger car!

You might find it's worth going through the insurance though. Your last claim shouldn't affect premiums for much longer (4-5 years is the max I think).

I have used Paintology a few times when they were in Beeston and think they are good, they have moved to Carlton or Gedling and I haven't used them since, I also need a similar sized repair so will follow with interest. A friend has recommended Impact on Little Tennis Street, he's a perfectionist , although they seem to get very mixed reviews and it's pretty difficult to get to.

Maid Marian way NCP mate. Park there every day no issues normally with a row of cars either side but they have these odd spaces much like victoria centre which are 1 bay in between the wall and a pillar. Nightmare http://c8.alamy.com/comp/BJHB2Y/ncp-car-park-multi...

Just visited ScratchMaster in Bulwell, says it's a bigger job than it looks from the photos I sent him and has quoted £462 incl VAT. He said he'll need the car for minimum 3 days but should be able to provide a courtesy car in the meantime. It's booked in for Monday but I've asked him to give me a call should be there be any availability before the weekend.
Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed.
