Looks like I'll still have my car, along with the associated accident damage from having someone use me to stop instead of their brakes. Insurance Co are dragging their heels / parts on order from Sweden!
That's insurers for you when you're driving something rare! I'm surprised someone managed to run into it given how fast it's rumoured to go hehe

Bad news...are the parts standard Volvo or specific Polestar bits?
It's just a rear bumper and diffuser. Unfortunately they are slightly different to the standard V60 so have to be shipped in,

Even I have to stop at traffic islands every now and again!

Well, tomorrow is "the day". I hope you all have you warm coats/hats ready as it looks like it'll be dry though with a "real temp" of around 2C currently. I'll bring my walkie-talkies though if you have one, please bring it along smile

The MR2 has had its tyres pumped up and tank filled. I just need to remember where I left my warm hat last spring!

I hope everyone had a safe trip home & managed to keep warm at the PHSS? A great turnout for such a cold morning and a real mix of cars with some lovely sounding exhausts (the TVRs apparently sounded "epic", as did the Alfa & Atom). For those who has their roofs down/off, or has no roof....great commitment thumbup

I might organise a Sunday brekkie run to the Peak District over the winter & will give decent notice for those who might be interested.

Likewise Mr Vert. I'll get some new tyres I think for the "track slag" as the ditch finders on it were trying to live up to their reputation.

Thanks for arranging. I’d defiantly be up for a winter run. Had a great day and then stopped off at The Fish in Wixford for a Sunday roast and warm up next to the fire!

The tuscan sounded fantastic as it was sliding around in front of me! Not sure i even got more that 30% throttle in the atom, backend stepped out a few times even tickling it.... 1st time ive driven it in the cold or wet!!

I can quite safely say though that i wont ever be driving it in those conditions again - that the journey down was the most unplesant hour ive ever had to spend in a car! 5 layers inc winter cycle kit wasnt enough!!!!!

Heyho, Atom is now SORNed til next year... Roll on temperature over 10c! cool

I was a couple of cars behind you for a while.....looked rather 'hairy' I must say! Amazed you got any traction at all for most of the journey!

Had the same sort of experience a couple of years ago in my 458, cold, slippery, downpour on the M40, aquaplaning everywhere...! Our then 11 year old was terrified!

Would be nice if they could find a slot for Silverstone in sunnier / warmer months!
