PEAK ROAD TRIP
Discussion
Hi all.
Did a recce this weekend (mid morning to 3pm on a Sunday) and there are some fabulously scenic routes to take in. The best ones have in parts average cameras, but for others there's plenty of bits to stretch your legs. The surfaces are reasonable with no major potholes but there are some uneven camber bits that could bounce you offline if you go too enthusiastically. That said, it'll make an enjoyable run.
DATE options
Sunday 25th August
Sunday 1st September
Let me know your preference. Majority will decide.
PS: there are also a few more people not on Pistonheads that have said they will come too, so I'll see what pub / venue can accommodate for on-route refreshments.

Sunday the 1st sounds ideal and it might just be the first opportunity to stretch the Exiges legs a little. Let’s pray for decent weather so the roof can come off 🙈

1st it is then people. Add to your diaries!
Thanks for road suggestions. I'll talk to venues and provide update this weekend.
Unfortunately I can’t make the 1st September as ** Gratuitous name drop alert ** I’m in Maranello for an event at the Ferrari factory. Thanks for road suggestions. I'll talk to venues and provide update this weekend.
Have a great day guys
My wife organised the 350&370z owners club weekend drive in the peaks. Lovely part of the world.
Count me in.

THE GRAND PLAN - Sunday 1st September 2019
OK Peak Drivers, here's the plan.
Start Point: Harrington Arms, Bosley. SK11 0PH
Steven at the Pub has granted use of their large carpark. He has agreed to open up early and serve breakfast baps, tea and coffee (at a cost). Nice one Steven!
Arrival, breakfast n banter: 0800 - 0945hrs
I'll be travelling from Uttoxeter leaving B&M carpark at 7am.
Route issued: 0930hrs
The route from The Harrington Arms will be a google map with waypoints marked. Total miles from here will be approximately 45.
I'll share the google map link on here and issue printed maps with current known speed cameras and average cameras on the route based on https://www.speedcameramap.co.uk/. A lot doesn't have cameras, so be aware and enjoy the scenery. If I miss a camera and you find it at warp speed, I take no responsibility!
End point: Approximately 11.30am. Will be northwest of the Peak District at a suitable lunch spot. It's up to you if you want to stay for eats or not obviously. Again, this point will be on the route published on the day. No reservations have been made at the end point.
BASIC RULES:
We are there to enjoy the scenery and enjoy our cars.
It is not a race or a timed event.
No prizes for getting first or last.
No prizes for driving in ditches, into drystone walls or through hedges into fields.
Keep at least 2 car lengths apart when in convoy.
Do not open exhaust flaps and bark through built-up areas.
Respect people / sheep / etc.
Women ARE allowed to drive.
Watch out for:
Uneven road surfaces and adverse cambers. Some of these roads can throw you offline if you are too brisk. So be aware.
So that's the plan. Look forward to meeting you on the day. If you are bringing someone or promoting to others, add names to the list so that I can make sure the pub can cater for enough.
Any questions, let me know.
