Start point ---
How about the hotel just off J18 M1. --think its the Holiday Inn. Its about 600yds from the M way towards Crick.
I've used it several times to start drives.
Good toilet facilities, coffee etc..
Large car park.
If you consider a different date I am happy to arrange a 30 mile or so drive to the lunch venue.

How about near Hinckley/Nuneaton. A5 Watling Street/M69 area for easy directions. Loads of pubs with big car parks. Limn Kilns, Hanover Hotel, Longshoot etc. Any locals able to recommend one?

Just a suggestion and maybe a bad one i'll leave you to say, but when i owned a Supra we had Jap car meets here www.davewilkinsgtr.co.uk but loads of things turned up from kit cars to Jap cars to car cars...... Usually about 20-30 there, great food too, is pretty Centralish and the A50 is a great road for thrashing down at the legal speed limit
Have a look at the past meetings theres lots of decent motors there, next ones March 21st......
Just thought it might be a good idea

Tis a popular weekend it seems, but you cant please all the people all the time, what kinda turn outs do you get at this meet? We need an executive decision

Actually, March meet is 14th at The Old Ship (Lowdham, Notts), if you mean TVRCC East Midlands?

Varies, had to say but if the weather is resonable could be 20 cars.

Oh for god's sake!! this is rediculous...

is there any day in the near future where there isn't some sentimental crappy "day" dreamt up by the card companies to get another grap at your wallet?!?!?? Grrr!!

calm.. anyway.. everybody who would like to atend.. suggest a date!

well I think you'll find mothers day is a corruption of mothering sunday which IIRC is a very old tradition..now fathers day...grrrr!

Someone needs to take the bull by the horns so to speak its never gonna fit in with everybody, but i think the meeting in Derby is fairly central and there'll be allot of cars there

Don't think you'll find more central than Meriden. It is s'posed to be the center of England and there is a bit stone monument there to mark this.

Im up for peatling parva, dont think ive got anything else on that weekend, also willing to meet up with a few people and guide them in if need be? im sure if we dont use the shires again then their are a few other options round here, open to suggestions.

Thanks,

What time do you guys plan on hanging around until??.

I'll be at work until 13:00 but will make a trip over after that. Presuming I take a look at where I am travelling too!(last time I armed myslef only with an internet printout, which with my lack of knowledge of Leicester proved not to be enough!!!!!!!!)

I'm up for somewhere more central (Leighton Buzzard? for gawds sake!) Somewhere within the Birmingham area (or Derby where you have access to great drining roads in the Dales

Admittedly LB is a weird place to have a meet, but the LB meet grew up around the fact that there are lots of us in the area so we thought we'd get together. Anybody who is close by is most welcome to attend.

IME of these things, let the organiser pick a place and time that they want to do, people will turn up if they are able to, trying to please everyone never works.
