Second Midlands-PH regional meet
Discussion
Hi Wayne
Being one of the bods that said I thought another Mids meet would be a great idea, I feel really bad 'cos we're already booked to go to Back Home in Blackpool with the Tiv that weekend... Got to leave really early as we're booked on the factory tour 1000 or 1030
Guarantee we'd have been there otherwise - damn...
See you next time then I guess...

How many do you think are going then? Rough idea ????
I'm not getting the dates mixed up it is this Suday isnt it? Weather looks good.
Looks like at least 4 definate, according to this board. I may be able to get at least two others on the day and a couple mentioned other possibles.
We'll see, we can't do anymore!
Weather supposed to be great, 21 degrees forecast, it should be a nice day to get out.
Any more takers????

If we wake up me 'n Porky will be there. What's planned as a run?
The services are off the Northbound carriageway at 23a. If you are coming south exit at the A50 junction and take the first exit after passing over the motorway. If you are coming on the A50 it is the same as the above. Otherwise aim for Donington park and the E Midlands airport and keep going

davrian.. will you be coming in a davrian!??!?
always wanted to have a good nose around on of those!!
how many definates now?
Not unless I address the inertia of the past three years in 24 hours! It was supposed to be a quick project for the track but I decided to 'improve ' it. You're welcome to have a look especially if you bring your overalls with you!
Looks like i'll post first regarding the meet then.
I suppose it was succesful although the numbers were small
There were 6 of us in total
Porsche 911 (Davarian)
TVR (TVRS3GAZ)
Corvette C4 (FRANKOWVETTE)
Corvette C5 x2 (Me and Mark)
Skyline R33 GTS (Greg)
Was nice to meet up with people, Davarian, Frankovette, TVRGAZ and i think Mark (correct me if i'm wrong) The weather was stunning the talk was cars and the drive, was spirited in places , we went for a drive to some nice pub on a canal which had the smallest carpark, not easy for some of us, didnt get the chance to go out in anyone else car which was a shame really, but i didnt think of it at the time.
Me, Greg and Frankowvette were convoying back towards the A50, steadily pushing along they know the speeds !! I've got pics but no webspace, but i believe Frankowvette is gonna be hosting some later when he gets round too it, all in all it was cool, we just need more exotica next time!
P.S please correct me if any of the names are wrong.

Good tail wind on the way home!!.......That Nissan sure does shift!
I will hopefully have something up by tomorrow. I tried today but it seems that since my last PC reformat I no longer have Frontpage (web authoring) or an FTP program installed in order to get things rolling.
I shall chase these tomorrow and get some pics up.
Top day, top cars, top company, Thanks all, truely enjoyed it!
Suggestions for next meet?????????????

It is quite nippy that nissan, although i had to back off or i'd have been in his boot on more than 1 occasion, theres no substitute for Cubic Inches
As for the next meet, I know its close but theres a meet at Stenson (Bubble Inn) on May 2nd this coming Sunday should be about 50 cars there if the weather is good. Not far for you Frankovette.

At work on the 2nd, until 10:00pm!
I'm going to Geoff Jeals on the 1st, there's a 'Dyno Day'organised.
If you don't know who Geoff is he was heavily involved with the development of the LT5 engine, the choice of the Corvette ZR1. Geoff has worked for GM, Lotus, Aston Martin, obviously knows his stuff.
He's based in Oxford and a good number of pretty special Vettes are going to be there.
