Great pics, it was a nice evening, good mix of tasty machinery too. The 1930 Packard was fantastic.

I came in the W140 S-Class which blends nicely into the background of the photo of the TVRs..!

Well I was pretty late to the party, looked like it had been a good meet.

Yup, Star Wars day.

Maybe there if work is busy. If not, I'll be at Old Trafford. smile

Hiya,

we cant make it this week, but all being well (if my DeLorean passes its MOT on Friday), we'll be along next time with both De's (or if my De fails the MOT, then I'll bring the Avantime instead smile )

I will be taking my 1930 Packard to Calverton tonight instead. Strange that there is no thread for this - its supposed to be a bigger gathering, we'll see...

Claire - Sorry but I hope your Delorean flunks the test next week yikes - I'd like to have a good look at the Avantime - fabulous car!!

Only kidding - love the DMC as well!!

Might try and make an appearance tonight, picking the car up from it's service/MOT this evening so coming straight from there, so not cleaned and polished, so no 'For Sale' sign until Chatsworth. wink

I really can't see why someone thought it was a good idea to have the Calverton meeting on the same night as the established Papplewick meeting. They're only about 5 minutes drive time apart.....! Perhaps the fourth Wednesday would have been better (the second Wednesday would clash with Ashby Folville most months)

I don't think it is Calverton tonight, I thought that one was just the 1st Weds on the month, not every 2weeks.
I was at the 1st calverton do, not many there at all, if the Suburu owners club hadn't turned up sure it would have been a flop, I spoke to the organiser, he had no idea it. Clashed with Griffin' head do.
I think he is really after the boy racer brigade like MFN, make a killing on £2 a head, ill stick with the griffin, least its free, no one charging you to look at your own car.

I agree, its a shame to have to choose one over the other. The Calverton meet is only monthly though. I have never attended Calverton so I thought I might give it a try. I'll definitely be back at Papplewick next time though, weather permitting.

Woops stupid me, it is Calverton tonight too, I was forgetting we are in May now lol.
I will stick with the griffin, suburu' are ok but not that many lol.
Real ale at the griffin, even if it is stupidly priced beer, tight bugger I am lol

I know theres a charge for the Calverton meet.
Is it £2 each person or per car?

I'd begrudgingly hand over £2 for the car even though I am contributing to the "entertainment" but I wont spend £8 to take me, the missus and the kids. No way Pedro!furious

You got me thinking now that it is really only for the boy-racers.

I might change my mind and go back to the Griffin
