I've already offered a lift but am too unable to take such a diversion.

Paul, any chance of catching the train from B'ham to Derby or Loughborough??

Well its the Bubble Inn meeting on the 13th at Stenson Derby, so that weekend is off really, i'd suggest the 20th June??

What does everyone think?

I'm up for the 13th and combine the two. Meet at Donington Services and cruise in convoy to the meeting

Job done!

Lets not have a load of posts about not being able to make it. If you can't come try harder next time

Agreed, very good idea, that was nice and easy, the Buuble Inn for anyone whose not sure is a car meet at Stenson in Derby, its prodominantly Jap cars but allsorts turn up usually about 40-50 cars but they are enthusiasts and not boy racers. Its set on a canal with a big pub that serves a carvery, lovely place.

I'll look into getting trains to Looga Barooga if you like!

>>>>> EDIT <<<<<<<

Just checked. Each Journey is over and Hour each way.

Cheers for the offers, Both of You, but I'll give it a miss this time. I'll keep you posted on Le Mans activity if you like tho!

It might be 9 as me and FFG are gonna try and come.

If we had more seats we could have bought TopFuel as we live in Brum - sorry about that mate.

Uh oh .... sorry to be a potential pooper, but I've a problem in the name of only running on about 6 cylinders (which is a bit of a bummer when you've got a V8 !)

Mechanic is coming out to the house Saturday AM to try and fix it (my personal guess is crud in one of the carbs, coz this happened about 3 years ago with identical symptoms) .... will keep you all informed as to whether he can fix it or not ....

Tried that last night, didn't work Distinct lack of power and lumpiness that can be felt as a harsh vibration through the whole car. She runs fine at idle and if I take each spark plug lead off in turn the revs drop, so I'm pretty confident it's a blocked jet (ergo a relatively easy fix .... it's just that I'm plain damn scared of touching those four 40DCNF's !! Never have been any good with carbs ...) Fingers crossed the Mech will fix it Saturday, he's top notch.

Yes, it is the freshly painted car

Erm, you're offering a ride in someone else's car? Maybe you'd better check with them first?
