Meeting on Monday will be good. We were planning to get a cab down to the middle and then walk back. We haven't sorted out a time yet - do you know what time the music is due to start?

Glen

Typically I'm not due to finish work til 6, so home at 6.30 and the tickets say 7.00 on them. I'll send you a mail with my contact details.

(Clarify - the Mini Meet)

This is a bit of a departure for us - PH mini-meet no-curry shocker! Unless no-one has mentioned something about the pub we are meeting at... hoping!

It will be good to see some new faces,

Too true. Unless I've missed something we've not yet established a venue. I might do a roof-down recce early Sunday AM, to see which looks best.

So,

it's getting closer............

Wed 4th Set

Carpenters Arms then?

I'd agree about the driving/scenery along Chew Valley way being good

?

Can we have a vote Yeah or Nay for the Carpenters Arms out past Pensford?

I'm a yeah.

Suggest meet in Bristol centrally for 7pm and drive out to the Carpenters Arms pub using the scenic route. Say meet at the Long Ashton Park and Ride car park? (Next to David Lloyd fitness club).

Is that Pensford on the A37? Sounds good to me but I might struggle to make 7. I shouldn't be more than a couple of minutes late tho.

Fine by me, but may struggle to manage 7pm on the dot - realistically 10/15 minutes past would be ok. Could catch you guys up at the pub if its a problem, though.

Alec - you should get hold of S4 clear front indicator lenses (you can get them from places like Carnosewer). Tidies up the front end IMO.

Nice looking car though - good colour - and the wheels aren't too bad are they.

S4 lenses are on the list, as are headlights. More urgent things like brakes that work are higher up the list though!
Wheels aren't too bad, might end up keeping them unless i can find something better fairly soon. Need new tyres all round in a few hundred miles.

Wouldn't bother with S4 headlights mate - the ones you've got are probably better - take it from me. Actually I would be interested to compare this at some point.

Mine are pretty bad, but that's compared to my laguna's which were the best i've used.
Main thing for the S4 lights is they have a separate main beam bulb, whereas i've got some dodgy combined thing. Also, there are xenon kits for the s4 lights too.

The last owner ... upgraded the brakes.

Not very well, then, I take it?
Or are the standard ones just shocking?

Nice car BTW
