Actually I don't think we've ever had any Lotus turn up at any of our meetings, especially not a proper one.

Yeah, but its a standard £1.30 now, regardless of distance!

Oh dear. I dont think we will make it from the pump to the petrol station exit on that...

Seconded - good to meet you all, and very odd to discover that my physio is a fellow PH-er. To think we could have been comparing 0-60 times during all those uncomfortable silences spent staring at the ceiling, eh Bill?!!

I do occasionally wonder if my more petrolhead patients are on here, but it seems a bit odd to ask.

Top evening all round, and a very pleasant drive home.(I hope Alex got home ok after we left him behind when I overtook a bus)

A good night out, good to see a few new faces. Shall we do a simlar one next month. Perhaps with a longer drive to a venue further away?

If it's going to be further away I'm taking the Quattro - keeping up with your supercar in a TR6 is bad for the nerves.

May I recommend:

Great pub, great food, great drive (but not too far for a midweek meet).

Agreed - pub was a great venue. Top trip back too - Just how many uses of opposite lock were needed?? I was still grinning this morning

Good to see everyone and I am certainly looking forward to the next one!

good pics! good to meet you all, as we said at the time its nice chatting to people that like to drive... not noncey anti speeding to###rs that frown at pointy loud cars! looking forward to the next meet, in the mean time try out the road from Thornbury to Aust then on to Avonmounth, sunday morning is best.

Cheers - sorry we didn't get a chance to chat (2 table syndrome at the pub).

Feel free to nick a pic for your profile if you want!

I notice that you have a van "for the mountain bike" - seems quite serious; do you compete on it?

I have done, once, down at cheddar a while ago, only downhill though so no lycra, i normally ride leigh woods & at hanham woods there are a few fast downhill bits, do you ride? Fast driving & fast downhilling have a lot in common, the 'oh shit this will hurt if goes wrong' thoughts you tend to get! you cant beat the 'just slightly out of control' feeling!

Mostly singletrack on a hardtail, although I'd really like to get something that's relatively lightweight and springy at both ends (if I can find a few £££s down the back of the sofa!).

Haven't done much riding this year due to the arrival of BabyV6, so I'm currently building back up by doing laps of Blaise & Coombe Dingle before attempting to head back over to Leigh Woods & the revamped trails in (and out!) of Ashton Court.

That are getting quite hard to follow, cos people are cutting off the contrived twisty sections (Assuming you mean the Timberland trail through Ashton court and into 50 Acre woods)
