Engine management light which was diagnosed as the catalysts performing bellow efficiency (which is apparently a common issue, and one which you can just ignore) Milltek do a set of sports cats for it, for when i feel wealthy again.
Its overdue a service, which is being done this weekend.
And the front tyres are of the brand "runway" (being replaced with pilot sport 3s next week.
Ive also got to get the gearbox oil changed, as i presume it has never been done.
However, the car is in immaculate condition with all the toys, more than enough power to learn RWD (i jest, it has too much ) and was well priced.
On a down note, i now have to work again on 14th again. Maybe another time..

Theres a gearbox place in Bristol that does a megaflush, which flushes the transfer box as well as the sump and gets it all out - do a search on the jaguar forum and it will pop up.
The box is a mercedes box and sealed for life, however most enthusiasts dont beleive its good to let them go over 60-70k without changing.
Its a precaution

The 4.2 uses a ZF box, but yes, also "sealed for life" but recommended oil change at 60kThe box is a mercedes box and sealed for life, however most enthusiasts dont beleive its good to let them go over 60-70k without changing.

Ive just emailed them. Youre a useful guy to know!
Your XKR's exhaust wasnt standard, was it? Who did you use?
Thanks!

It was self created. It was a stainless Borla 3 box system to start with (original has 5 boxes) I then removed the back two boxes so I only had a 1 box system, still passed MOT and sounded fabulous.Ive just emailed them. Youre a useful guy to know!

I would recommend you ditch the rear boxes first and get straight pipes, then if you want more, look at removing the mid boxes if you have them

I dont want it too loud! Going to take the exhaust off completely this weekend, see what it sounds like with no exhaust. And work out how loud i want from there.I would recommend you ditch the rear boxes first and get straight pipes, then if you want more, look at removing the mid boxes if you have them

+1 Sounded fantastic, but was oft a fabulous sounding, comfy, road block, unlike the training shoe, which I've yet to get close enough too, to listen to. Sounded
The evo is in another league of handling, especially in the wet, but doesnt sound so great....just pops and bangs !!!!
Pains me to say it but I have to agree with Giles. For Devon roads in inclement weather, you'd have to work hard to find a more suited car. There is, however, the chav factor. Almost dialed out with a grown up colour but inevitably there is a remainder.
