Another thanks to Graham and Nicky. I've done alot of treasure hunts (mainly as a kid) in the past and it was a bloody good one! Although I must admit that I was very downbeat having sold the AMG this morning, but driving around in the sunshine made it a great day smile We look forward to the next one biggrin

Thanks for a great day - We had a good time seeing lots of new places and good roads. Stopped off in cheddar for half an hour to buy some cheese...

Even had a clear run back up through Cheddar Gorge!

Look forward to some more PH fun soon!

Cheers

Thanks for coming everyone. Thank heavens it was decent weather.

Was the time / distance about right? Too long? Too short?

Number of questions about right? Too many? Too few?

Were the postcodes useful?

Would anyone make the journey to north Dorset to do a hunt? I know Dorset far better than Somerset.

I would go to Dorset but only because its equi-distant for me from Exmouth. biggrin

I think the distance and clues were spot on. Really liked the route and clues were fair but testing in places. I think personally postcodes ended up being useless and we just followed the directions/road names/road signs. I've done one before which is postcode'less and it worked well. What it did have was two columns on the left. One with total trip distance accumulating and one for the distance in between clues. This meant you could reset the trip at the start, and between clues, so you had better idea of where the clue would be. However, I don't remember having any real issue with any lack of distances mentioned yesterday. smile

Had a great afternoon yesterday, and Team Lazy Boys getting 2nd?! We weren't expecting that!

I managed to make one of my navigators rather ill after chasing Pete at lovely speeds on windy, bumpy roads smile luckily I'd stopped and the door was open in time!!

To be honest, we didn't use any of the postcodes given, I had sat nav on, but only as a guide as to what corners were coming up!!

Timing was pretty good and the fact the route doubled back on itself, seeing fellow PHers going the opposite way was quite entertaining!

Can we get extra points for getting back early next time?! wink

Cheers to everyone involved in organising it, and look forward to the next one!

Odd, Facebook used to allow me to post links and it would work for anyone. They no longer seem to give you the public share link under the albums.

Ah ha! Found it.

This might work:

You can always request me as a friend, of course.
