Hello all!

Just thought I'd post on here that Weston-Super-Mare motor club are running a rally sprint in Weston on various roads, starting on the sea front, and including Kewstoke road (which used to be the toll road that runs from Sand Bay to the Old Pier) in Weston-Super-Mare on Sunday 5th January.

The only section of road that I know they're using (I have no idea which parts of the sea front they're using, although its definitely not on the beach) is the toll road shown here: http://goo.gl/maps/J8KhH
I have no idea what the spectator area will be like, as its not exactly being publicised! But there is a footpath that follows the road in the woods, so it should provide good viewing!

When/if I find out what other roads, and timings are being used then I'll post them here.

Thanks for the info, I wondered why the road was shut next weekend. Found out today that the event is on next weekend, google doesn't give you a lot more info.

Timings would be great when you know. I can see the toll road from my house so rude not to have a look smile

My dad sent me a couple of photos and videos this morning as the start of the run along the old toll road is outside their place, looks like a fair mix of motors:

They're giving it some beans on the video he sent, tried uploading but looks like I can only upload images using the PH uploader.

Dont suppose your Dad would have known a John Reeve who drove in this late 80's early 90's
Doing some research on a car and trying to find him

The only time the toll road was used during the timeline you mention was as a double usage stage on the Nick Porter Stages which iirc was 1990 .
