Hi All,

As per title really. The bristol kit car club used to be quite active, seems to have almost died. Does anyone know whether something else replaced it?

Cheers

They probably got so fed up of the nonsense of trying to drive cars around the car hating city of Bristol that they have either moved away or put on concrete wellies and jumped into the floating harbour.

Otherwise - sorry I don't know

To be honest what with facebook etc I think internet forums, apart from the 'biggies' such as PH, are seemingly all dying but suggest you join forum & ask them: http://bristolkitcarclub.co.uk/smf2/index.php?PHPS...

Blue is probably close lol.

I'll do that Steve - I vaguely recall some member started an alternative but can't find anything.

Cheers anyway

Hi, I can give you the answer to this! The BKCC is technicaly still going but after a difference of opinions a group of the most prominent members set up a new club called KitNet.uk (www.kitnet.uk) of which I am a founder member (not a founder just a founder member. ie I was involved before the launch)

Basically the BKCC is very inactive now but kitnet.uk is the fastest growing kit car club/forum in the UK and most likely the world (being as the UK is the world centre of kit car ownership!)

You can join as a trial for free and then annual membership is £15.00 which considering the help I get from the guys on there and all the club meets, run outs, shows, blats, breakfast meets and Xmas meals we do is a bloody bargain!!

A few of us from kitnet are having a blat from the Cross Hands at Old Sodbury to the AV8 cafe breakfast meet (Ross Parkers gathering) on Sunday morning. The details on PH can be found here... https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

If you are into kit cars or classics or in fact any cars at all you are welcome at kitnet.uk guys

Did I mention we do lots of track days too???!!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Hope that answers your question?
