This hasn't been publicised very well (for obvious reasons no doubt) but there is currently a survey open to respond on the 20mph roads. Not holding out much hope for them to be removed but you never know!!

Thanks for the link. I have entered my views, I am sure they are not what the council want to hear.

This is the most biased survey I have ever seen, there are no options if you vote to retain a 30mph limit, only reasons suitable for reduction. It is a blatant attempt to manipulate the result in favour of more 20mph zones.

The 'research' from UWE is pretty comedic too. It says stuff like "The number of people who walk or cycle to work in Bristol has increased between
2010 and 2015." as an argument for 20mph limits. But miles cycled has increased nationally by 23% in the last 10 years and they make no effort to prove whether or not the increase in cycling and the decrease in speed limits are in any way connected. They do the same for accident rates, listing all the ways in which injuries on the roads have reduced before stating at the end "Because of the study design employed, it is not possible to state with certainty that
the reductions in casualties are due to the introduction of the 20mph limits.".

Started to do the survey, lost the will to live!

Its way to biased, does not consider the economic benefits of making the city accessible at a sensible rate,

I can't be arsed to type into each box - main roads need to flow well at a decent speed, I have already withdrawn business from the city because moving around is so annoying .
