I was going to ask the same question, where abouts are you looking?

The "American Diner" nearer to the Sparkford Roundabout than Wayne's isn't bad.
I would say here also!

Have eaten there often and the food is good and well priced
Yeah, that'd be my suggestion too. Although Haynes is a good shout as well - think they give you 12 months' admission with each ticket, so you could have a wander around the museum for free on your return trips if you come down often.

Budget around £500. We need easy access to a swimming pool for my back issues.
So you're looking for a very second-hand caravan, and an inflatable paddling pool.

It is sobering to look back on this thread which I started over a year ago, wanting a breakfast stop on our frequent journey from our home in Essex to our holiday let in Croyde, North Devon.

We sold up in Essex and are now residents in Wiltshire and taken early retirement.

We will however, take a drive out to this cafe soon for breakfast.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Thank you. We are loving it so far.

Odd thing, I found some letters my Dad wrote in the early 70's including one where he turned down a job in Warminster on the offer of promotion in his existing job in Abingdon.

The promotion never materialised and as a result, he ended up getting a job in Essex and dragging me with him.
