How was it? (I was away this weekend)
Not bad actually. Probably 15-20 cars, mix of Mustangs, BMW's, Mercedes, MX5, Porsche 944, Fiesta, GTR, Volvo T5R and an old Landie biggrin Weather was excellent, as was the mega breakfast.

The first Long Ashton Cars & Coffee meet is at Gatcombe Farm / The Greedy Goose, Long Ashton on Sunday June 2nd 08.30 - 10.30. The restaurant will be opening up early serving, coffee and breakfasts (which are very nice !). Everyone welcome !
Is that going to be a monthly event do you know?
Just been confirmed this will be a regular event on the first Sunday of the month. Next one will be July 7th.

Lyn Valley Classic on Sunday. I expect to be there with my recently repaired Ferrari.

Anyone else going?

I'll be the one in the old red Landie, or more likely filling my face in the cafe laugh

Did anyone go to the DriveTribe event at haynes a few weeks ago?

How much was the entry?
Was it just like the first one? (i.e just paid higher entry for a usual breakfast meet)

I'm slightly biased as I organised it, but it is a lot more than just a breakfast meet! We took over the whole site this time, had the live stage with TV and YT personalities all day, and this time we included entry to the museum having paid significantly more to close the venue off to the public. This allowed us to give everyone an exclusive look at our new DriveTribe exhibit too!

Entry was £25 per person which considering the museum is usually £22.80 alone, we felt it was fair. The sticking point for some was us enforcing a minimum of two people per car. The limitation at Haynes is the space for parking so the only way we can make it work to cover costs is encourage people to fill their cars!

I am looking in to alternative locations for next year that will allow single occupants and more general parking space. I have some ideas and having some good conversations, the only negative is that it will be taking the event further away from Somerset.

Well done for putting the event on. Can’t be easy.

One of the joys of the Cars and Coffee at Morwellham Quay. I think they can get something around 200+ display cars with a further non display parking area. Nice location with a hand pub on site if you want a sit down food offering. It’s probably a good thing it’s harder to get to. Some nice roads on the way if you get a clear run.
