Unmarked police cars in South-West ?

Not my usual stomping ground, but I traveled down the M3/A303/A36 this week. The 5 series saloon reg: WR56RWX (or Z) stuck out like a saw thumb from miles back with the 'hidden' lights in the kidney grilles.
Today coming back home I saw an unmarked Audi A4 on the A303, I think it was blight blue...ish?

Ah well this is weird. I saw you go past me, and then I saw the 3 series come off the slip road an immediately make his way over towards you! The BMW stuck out like a sore thumb

There are a few A4's on demo from Audi with Wilts. I've seen a grey metallic one around Chippenham and there was a silver one in their compound a few months ago. All start with an O plate. They also had a Seat Exeo estate, but I think that's been marked up since I last saw it.When the member above says he has seen a 3 series with a folding roof, do they mean a cabriolet? I'd have been surprised if they were using a 2 door car.

This is indeed what I mean, which is why I mentioned it was sneaky; I was joining the M4 and was obv. focusing on the job in hand so the view was brief but it was a fairly small 3-Series and it definitely had the panel gaps in the C-pillars..
Newquay , cornwall area .......look out for a grotty looking lada , it has a few tweeks , like a diffo engine , and its running Noz .....and yep it's an under cover cop wag .....likes to hang out with the run to the sun boys and do them as they leave ........
It gets used by 2 coppers who look like run of the mill party goer's who also stink of booze ( used like aftershave )to blend in ......

Just be aware of a couple of silver grey Focus STs (with the RS upgrade fitted) operating around Exeter.
Think ourselves lucky we don't have the same cops I used to see in Germany driving an open top 911 Targa while wearing crash helmets. When asked 'why the open top' the reply was 'so the passenger can stand up and use his machine pistol when we are chasing the criminals'. At least ours don't (normally) shoot......
