Anyone thinking of going from the Southwest?

There's some really nice hotels around that area, and perhaps we could get a good weekend rate for the Friday and Saturday night if we book early enough.

Any thoughts?

Simon

Given that the Bristol meet is 99% Griffs, you won't be too surprised if I tell you there is quite a bit of interest!

Watching with interest at the moment; but should start finding out who's thinking of going at the April meet.

Duncan, thats great news. So far 6 TVR's from Devon & Cornwall will be attending plus collecting "Tiny" "Pstruck" "Sgrimshaw" and "Jamlet" on route. Keep me posted and we'll meet with your region for lunch, before a night out in Stratford..Cheers zz

I am not getting involved in the accommodation side but I will include copies of the relevant pages from the Stratford accommodation guide as people will want differing standards or not want to stay in Stratford at all (Warwick/Leamington etc are all good alternatives).

Can't say I blame FFG.

However, personally I think it would make the event much more of a social occassion if we stayed in the same place.

I'm quite happy to do some hunting around for suitable accomodation for the South West contingent.

I'm working in Spain for the next 4 weeks, and I have a free ADSL connection in the room. To be honest, I could do with something to do in the evenings other than spending vast amounts of the company's money on Rioja in the Hotel bar.

I need to have some idea of numbers and peoples budgets though.

Email me if you prefer (through my profile please as I've just updated my email address for use while abroad).

Best regards from sunny Malaga,

Simon

Thanks go to Simon Grimshaw who has negotiated a fantastic b&b rate at the Ashorne Hill Country House hotel near Gaydon, [£45 per single room per night, £60 per double room per night.] http://ashornehill.co.uk. Any TVR can now attend and so far 8 cars from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset are attending, meeting with Bristol region on route. E-mail me if you want to tag along. We will leave Saturday morning [31st July] meet with Bristol Region around lunchtime arriving late afternoon after a burn up through the Cotswolds...zz
