We will have speclised tools such as bearing press but this will need to be requested on booking to make sure it is free on the day, There will be a qualified mechanic on site at all times. we may also offer training days for people that would like to lean how to service there cars. Regards to service stamps if the service parts are purchased from ourselves and we see you service the vehicle the on site mechanic will stamp and sign the book.

Look forward to seeing that one opening in Avonmouth. I've got a few mates who I think would definitely use it depending on how much it is. Any ideas on pricing?

Prices sounds good. Cheaper than I was expecting! A couple late nights may be a good idea. I'd trial it and see if you get much interest in it. I think you'd get 9-5'ers etc interested in going straight down after work

Hi,

I will see how it goes but think you are right, will need to do a few late nights to draw in the 9-5ers smile

The web page is up and running its not 100% perfect yet but please have a look and see what you guys think. I am aware there is some spelling and punctuation changes to be made which i am currently working on. Am just waiting on the unit to confirm then will have an opening date but am aiming for mid march.

There is a ramp rental garage in Paignton. www.cre8autoworx.co.uk
They offer a lot more than DIY spannering. Definitely worth a visit.
I think there is an open day/meet on the 23rd February 2014.

hi guys,

Ramp it up opens on the 16th, Check it out on face book or the web page should be good i can't wait.

one other thing is there any particular days that ramp it up would benefit from doing a late opening i.e until 10pm for those that want to come down after work. i was thinking thursday/friday?

I like the idea of this a lot. Not sure I'm the target demographic though - can't work a spanner or tell one end of a screwdriver from the other. boxedin
I can see myself using it for a couple of hours once or twice a year, just for inspection and cleaning, so you'll never get rich off me. hehe

Best of luck though - on paper looks like a great business. thumbup

Sounds like a great idea and your not a silly distance away from me.

Do you have a Hydrolic press on site? I am looking to change the diff bushes on the Mazda this winter and hear they are a sod to get out.

with regards to getting parts in, do I have to inform you what I want prior or will you stock parts ready?
thinking forge intake and intercooler for mine, and wondering about availability.

I would like to see a rent-a-ramp type place around Bristol somewhere - I could do with it every now and again - especially since I can't really get to the Oil Filter without a ramp.
Had trouble removing the car's oil sump plug, so decided to use Ramp-it-Up at Hallen, absolutely brilliant service, ramps, tools and oil drain facilities.

I’m another who’d like to find somewhere in the South West. You’d think in these times where some would rather do their own jobs rather than get a garage to do them there’d be a few places about.
