Right, now that the undercrackers have recovered from the last sojourn in to the curry houses of Bristol..... it must be time to repeat the treatment

How about the 15th June? City centre? - I know a couple of suitable locations...

What does everyone think?

Glen

Oh - and what about our "couple of hundred quid skid pan car" idea?? A mate of mine might be getting rid of a Sierra Sapphire later this year that would fit the bill perfectly!

Pencilled into diary, date subject to agreement by fellower Bristol PHer reprobates.

The problem with the skidpan car is finding a flat off-road area which we can use. Supermarkets all have posts and crap now dotted all over the place. As agreed on the eveing though, the car must be RWD and manul transmission.

15th June sounds good. The Balti hut on the triangle was pretty good (Last time I went) Or more recently I've been to a place on Queens Road (IIRC) at the junction with Westbourne Place that was good.

Balti Hut gets my vote as it used to be one of my regulars when I lived in Hotwells - we can meet in the huge Weatherspoons, The Berkeley, a bit further up the hill and the West End Car Park is very close for those who are driving...

This is where the Balti Hut is: www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=357895&Y=173145&A=Y&Z=1

Parking is here: www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=357735&Y=173148&A=Y&Z=1

Meet in the Berkeley at 7-7.30? Curry at 8.30-9.00?

As for the car option - can we hire the skid pan for an afternoon? Anyone any ideas about costs?

You've sent it for remedial diary lessons, I take it?

What happens at one of these?

I live about 2-3 minutes walk from the Berkeley, so it would seem silly not to come, really....

Do we get to see cars and stuff, or just talk about them

Eitehr or both, depends who brings what. Mostly talking about cars and the like. Oh, and beer and curry too usually.

Hmmm, what goes on? - motoring stories, general whinges, moan about the council and exchange info about the scameras, a few beers and a good curry!

Always nice to put names to faces too!

Is the Berkeley the one on the Corner, that frequently closes down then reopens?

No - it has been the Berkeley for the last 5 years at least, I think it is the UK headquarters of Weatherspoons. It is in the middle of the row. Walk up Park Street, keeping to the left on to the Triangle, and you can't miss it.

See you there!
