Early Le Mans heads up.

Rtning on the 16:30hrs on the Sunday back to Portsmouth.

Staying at TL campsite this year and very excited about it!! Hardware is locked down but there may be one or two changes before Le Man's.....

Looking forward to 4 days of beer, racing, cars and fast food!

Hi Dan - I appreciate its not all about the race but the race finished at 15:00 on the Sunday. You will break a few records if you watch the end of the race and get that ferry

I know I know and im sorry! We left early last year and listened on the radio! Unfortunately as there are 4 of us from our desk at work coming at least 2 have to be back in the following morning @ 7am!! Therefore we leave early to get back to the UK on Sunday evening. It sucks to miss the end of the race but it does give us clear(ish) roads back to Caen.....we will make up for it over the time we are there I am sure ... :-)

We did a friday to sunday trip last year which meant we had to leave as soon as the chequered flag was waved in order to be back for the 5pm Cherbourg to Portsmouth. Time wasnt that tight (half hour or so to spare at Cherb) as the TL site is near the motorway out of there but any earlier than 5pm and you'll struggle to get back on time. If you need to stop for fuel on the way be prepared for queuing LMers as everyone has the same idea. Top up before you get to the track! Also, youve got no chance of being able to speed when you leave as there are cops all over the joint. Even hidden in bushes!

You say this however our X5 was brimmed last time coming back as 7heo decided to wrestle the campsite pickeys for a gazebo to clean his car under! His car is never clean so I doubt he has ever used it lol

It was more satisfying seeing the disappointed look on the s faces when we beat them to it! My car is clean at the moment and the Gazebo has been used a fair few times, not all for cleaning though! It will also be making a return voyage to Le Mans this year!

Haha that rudy gazebo 7heo!!! wasnt it a bit bent or did you leave that one for the gippos?! Ill bring back the inflatable palm trees we pilphered from somewhere...............
