Had mine done yesterday. In and out sharpish, even with a chat about his bike. Totally worth the drive. Car drives like it should. smile

Just thought I’d revive this thread as I’ve been trying to book my M3 in, and despite calling over 10 times at different times of the day over the past couple of weeks, I’m not getting through. The phone just cuts out.

Does anyone know if he’s closed down? I hope not! frown

I have just read on a BMW Facebook group that Nick has closed due to personal reasons. Let’s wish him a speedy and safe return back to business.

Another post on FB suggests he mentioned he wouldn’t survive in business if there was a second lockdown.

Oh, that's a shame. Fingers crossed.

I had bookmarked this thread and was just about to make an appointment to get my TVR done having had the shocks and some bushes changed.

Quite sad to see this, I too tried calling multiple times and got no answer, he is a top chap.
Does anyone know of any alternatives? Need mine doing before I chew up the insides of my new tyres. Thanks

Nick did my R8 but doesn’t do wheel balancing so I took my car to ProTyre in Portsmouth.

They do both and the balancing was spot on.

I’ve heard that sadly Nick is in pretty poor health which is why he has not re opened.

I’m sure I speak for many of us when I say my thoughts are with both him and his family, hopefully he will pull through... frown

I agree, Hoonigan.

Not just great at what he does, a really nice chat too. Always enjoy chatting to him about cars/life when he's got my car on the rack. Hopefully he makes a swift recovery and manages to re-open when restrictions ease, but I could never blame anyone for retiring.

I'm sure I speak for everyone else who had the pleasure of meeting Nick, and his expert attention. He is a one off, and can't be equaled, lets hope he does in fact make a full recovery, but throat cancer is a nasty one to have.

It looks like a new company called “Wheel Alignment Solutions” have taken over Nick’s old building and according to the Facebook pics, it’s all the same equipment.

I’m going to stick with the same site and see what the new guy is like.

No disrespect to the new owner, but I probably won’t be going. Only because it’s a 100 mile round trip now I no longer live in Southampton. I went for Nick. His skill at making a car feel ‘right’ was second to none. Hopefully he’s okay otherwise.

Definitely not Nick. Here's some detail about the new company here:

Will be interested to hear feedback.

Have met Darren last time I was at The Wheel Alignment Centre just prior to Nick having to give up. Wish both Nick & Darren all the best, and am confident Darren will continue successfully in the footsteps of Nick.
