From Goodwood's website:

"May 7: Supercar Sunday
Celebrating the pinnacles of automotive engineering – the supercars and hypercars of the world, as well as high-performance exotica of all varieties. Supercar Sunday aims to bring together some of the greatest cars the world has ever seen."

Anyone interested in attending? I know this will be very, very busy but if people are up for meeting and arriving uber early, we could beat the rush for breakfast and get a decent parking spot. Maybe even on the circuit, depending on what you're driving!

For anyone who may be up for joining me on a more interesting drive than the M and A27, this is the route I will be taking. Starting at Shell Winnall and stopping en route at the Seven Stars pub: https://tinyurl.com/le7eure

7 Stars Meeting point on the way Nic? Also the route from Petersfield- Harting- Lavant is a good one, our usual route to Goodwood for the Breakfast meets.

Seven Stars is good for me Aly. Lavant was the other route I looked at! Works for me. Will amend and share the new route when I'm back in the office tmrw.

Possibly yes... I have not been down before and would have to check the Calendar when I get in, but could also meet at Winnall.

What time at winnall ? , it's always busy for this so needs to be early . Gates open at 7 so based on previous supercar meets you need to be there before 7

Thinking of leaving Winnall at 0600, stopping briefly at the Seven Stars circa 0630 to meet Aly plus any others who plan on joining us there.

I would hope that arriving shortly after 0700 at G'wood, would not cause us too many issues with parking/queues for breakfast.

Roads will be empty at that time too so it will be great run along that route, as long as it's dry!

You fancy it, Stuart?

Cheers,
Nic

We can bring the meeting/departure times forward if people prefer to arrive earlier?

I have no problems getting out of bed super early for a jaunt!

Do you need to register for this, or can you just turn up and have a walk around?

It's free to attend and depending on what you arrive in, you may be offered to park on circuit as part of the display.

You need to pre register these days if you have a car matching the theme. If you own a Porsche it is considered a supercar at goodwood....

I stand corrected.

Apparently an SLK200 is an "iconic performance car" at Wilton House....

A Clio sport, so maybe not!

But I can just turn up, park, and have a stroll?

Yes you'll be directed to one of 2 fields to park in. The fields are fine for low cars, I've seen McLaren F1's, F40's XJ220's in the field so no issues.

That SLK owner knows some people. He was displaying on the circuit at Goodwood during the Vee-Power breakfast club. I don't think... *googles SLK200*... nope!

The only thing I can think of is if they are disabled? However if it's the car I'm thinking of the marshals at goodwood were directing him to the paddock and he ignored them all and parked on the grid.
