Oh wise ones......

I need a shop that has expertise in fibre-glass repairs, and can deal with Reflex (charcoal) paint.

I've got some damage at the front of the TVR, and although I'm going through the insurance company, I'd rather have just the front end resprayed. However, that would depend on (a) the paint colour being perfectly matched, and (b) confidence that the finish can be matched.

TIA

I think, due to the nature of my paint, I might be looking at a full body respray......

Try Darracotts. They did good work on my old car years ago, albeit they weren't the cheapest in town.

Hi guys, I regularly use a great bodyshop on the outskirts of Southampton, they stay below the radar but restore and repaint a huge variety of cars and have some very skilled guys. For example, they are just using lead work to restore a classic Mercedes, they are also very good with other materials - they rebuilt my TVR Chimaera when a friend wrote it off (new rear end needed), invisibly repaired the bare carbon front splitter on my Vantage V12S when I scuffed it and perhaps most impressively manged to save me buying a new £5k aluminium door for my SLS when I had a large 'issue' in my garage! They have just fully resprayed a friend's Ferrari 599 and he is delighted. If anyone can match the paint, they can. I introduce a lot of work to them (quite a bit of it my own!) and can help get mates rates. Please PM me for me for more info.

I use Classic restore in Eastleigh for my TVR. Graham is a great bloke and knows how to work with fibreglass.
