Just to add, on the route there we will not be stopping at the Riverside Inn & Restaurant - it's just a landmark on the route which takes us round a roundabout. Don't think other road users would appreciate 20 cars trying to turn around in Cheddar village! hehe
Route down looks fine , suggest add a postcode for where we are for brekie in case anyone gets lost , personally I can’t be arsed with radios but that’s personal after a bad experience, told clear to overtake , it wasn’t, a lesson learnt young . Route back good but I may stay west to play , white heart at Stockbridge a good call for those rushing back , nice pub, lovely staff !!

Only reason for trying to get 2 or 3 radios is for the ease of communication should people get separated. Its push to talk, opposed to having to dial/find number on a mobile whilst taking eyes off the road.

Would make sense for us to swap numbers before we depart as well.

Routes look great.

I'll be leaving Shell Winnall at 0500 for anyone else that plans to join from here.

What do you reckon my chances are of getting back to work for 10:30 in Salisbury? I've not done one of these runs before so I am not sure sure of how long it takes. What time is breakfast booked for?

The cafe serves breakfast at 8.30, but will be open at 8.00 for coffee/tea. I'm sure you would have plenty of time to get back.

I will be meeting there, probably be there 10 minutes early to allow for my uncanny ability for getting lost despite following a sat nav.

I have sorted 4 radio's for us to use chaps.

Should take the stress out of trying to keep such a large group together smile

Only problem now is finding 4 of us responsible enough to captain a radio wink.

I have a couple of friends who are interested in joining for the drive, realise we are at a 20 person cap so assuming ok with everyone they will tag along but not stop for food. It would be rude of me to leave them in the car park so i'll drop off the list but will still attend.

I thought the 20 limit was to keep it to a sensible number of cars but I might be wrong

The 20 cap was what the cafe said we could book so it made sense to start a register. This also meant it kept numbers to a managable/enjoyable level on the run out.

That said, I cannot stop people from coming and making their own plans for food. This is ultimately a public forum and we're driving public roads to a public place.

These came today thanks to one of my suppliers.

Been told I can keep these too, so will no doubt come in handy in the future smile
