I do have 4 walkie talkies and with the help of some of the others, we do our best to keep everyone together but with more than 15 cars it is a handful. We managed okay with 20 last time and I hope we can do the same again but any more would be too much.

If you're on the list, you'll get the sent the route privately. Please keep an eye on your emails and this thread in the lead up to the run.

There is a crucial difference between the Breafast meet and your Dawn Dash though. Aly uses a follow-the-leader format, rather than a pre-planned route

With a known route there is no need for that. It's not a great idea imo to make people feel they need to keep up.
If everyone has the itinerary its allows all participants to drive at a pace they are comfortable with.

Even 15 can be too big a group size on many UK roads. On the runs that I organise* the maximum is 10.
If/when we get bigger numbers we do it RAF style with two 'wings' (Red Leader/Blue Leader).
It's much easier to lead a smaller group especially where overtakes are involved.
It doesn't matter if the groups become detatched from each other for whatever reason..
In fact in my experience they often coalesce again. This yo-yo effect can occur several times.

Slight hiccup today, Eunos has decided to begin imitating a V8. I shall have to see if I can get it in to the garage this week and make amends, otherwise you lot are going without me!
