As per the title. Booked and paid a deposit earlier in the year for wedding in Friday.

Spidey senses have gone into overdrive now. Am concerned "Julian" my DJ will be a no show. I've no number for him, just the agent. He won't provide a number.

Anyone able to confirm they're legitimate?

Well it turns out they are a legit company, but all is not well. I'm unhappy enough to cancel the DJ booked for Friday and with this lose the £275 I've already paid.

Take this as a warning if you are looking.

The one I originally booked was £475.

The one I have now was originally £795, but is now doing it for £500 as it's on Friday.

Yeah, seems madness, I know some good bands that are not much more, and some very good ones that aren't a world away!

Thanks, getting married next year and the DJ hasn't been booked.

We are however looking at hiring a jukebox instead which also has the ability to take video messages/photos when guests are choosing a track. Unsure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!!!!

So the idea sounds great but cost is near on £700 including delivery etc. although you've save on having a video booth.

I looked at a band (Iron Tyger) but they just played an iPod for the rest of the time, which I didn't think was ideal.

The band playing an iPod in between their sets etc is not that uncommon to be honest, and if you have a band, they have to finish the night, I always find its a bit of an anti climax switching to a DJ, unless it's going to go on until 4 in the morning! The Hattie Jaques Playlist are also an incredible band, based in Southampton.
