Moving to Bournemouth area - competitve motorsport?

I'm relocating to the Bournemouth area (from the north - everywhere is north of Bournemouth pretty much ) and I'm trying to find out what competitive motorsport (club level) there is in the surrounding areas.

I've been a regular on trackdays for many years (in a Lotus Elise), I sprinted for a while and have raced in the 750mc (MR2's) and in the Castle Combe championship.

I'm trying to work out what the motorsport scene is like in and around Bournemouth and the wider area? I'm not looking to travel all of the country anymore and am trying to find out what is available a bit closer to my new home.

What series and events are around here that people would recommend?

Worth looking into Gurston Down Hillclimbs, Bournemouth and district car club and anything going on at Thruxton.
