Garstang Area

Just curious if there are other Pistonheaders in the Garstang area? I often see some nice motors up and down the A6, including a raft of TVRs so assume there may be some members local. Only moved here about a year ago so just getting familiar with some of the good roads out towards Quernmore / Trough of Bowland etc.

For anyone who is local, any trust worthy garages for more high performance motors? I've always travelled down to Sandbach (Gaz at CPP) for the Evo but wondering if there are any places nearer if minor stuff crops up....

I work away frequently so don't get the motor out that often but if anyone spots me out and about over a weekend (its bright yellow so not hard to miss!!) give me a wave!

There are certainly loads of 'car' people around. There's a big car meet at The Phantom Winger, Broughton, each month. Normally a few tvr's there.

Further to this, The Phantom Winger meet is held on the penultimate Sunday of every month, the next one being Sunday the 20th. People usually start arriving around 09:00

There is a chap i've spoken to a few times who lives up the road with a S/C Ariel Atom running custom Nitrons from memory. Looks a handy weapon in the right hands!

Managed to get the motor out yesterday and had a great run through the Trough of Bowland - some fantastic roads!

For Evo stuff I use Wayne at Ams and have done for 10+ years. Not that my Evo ever moves lol.

We were out around Becon Fell last Sunday for a walk and a good excuse to put some miles on my wife's new M3 around the roads in that area.

You're right about the A6 being a great spotting place for all cars & bikes,I moved to Bilsborrow 7 weeks ago & I'm still looking for 'The Place' where all the locals go to for trustworthy service. Most of my neighbours have PCP or Motability cars so don't know anywhere suitable local,I go back to Cleveley's at least twice a week so if I need anything I'll sort it out over there but it would be good to have a local knowledge base.
There is an Independent Subaru place just up the road from me next to Rockform Flooring,don't know anything at all about them but they may be able to help you or point you in the right direction? My daily is a black Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S with a PH smiley sticker on the back,I'll look out out for you (and DieselvRS) & give you a wave

I used Garstang Motors (by the fire station) a few weeks ago, spot on.
