Car shows in the North West 2023 (and N.Wales / Staffs)
Discussion
The meeting at the Old Piggery Cafe on the A525 at Combermere, just a few miles south west of Nantwich, is on this coming Sunday 7th July. This one is for cars 1990 onwards. The previous pre-1990 one was fairly good, some interesting stuff that I hadn't seen before, but the weather didn't encourage lots of people to bring their cars. I'd have a stab at getting my daily driver in but I'm at Llangollen Classic Transport Weekend.
Next weekend, 13th and 14th, is Cheshire Steam Fair at Daresbury. There is some car and motorcycle content as well as the steamers.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but there’s a North Wales Cars & Coffee on the Promenade twice per month - every 1st Sunday of the month in Rhos on Sea and every 3rd Sunday in Pensarn.
Rhos on Sea is my favoured of the two. Neither has plenty of refreshments that close by, but Rhos is a lovely place.

There is always a good turn out and Rhos in particular is a lovely spot on a sunny Sunday morning.
Much Hoole this Sunday.

Weather looks to be pretty good, and there's good beer as well!

Entries are open for the Weaver Wander on May16th, and for display vehicles at the Oulton Park Gold Cup which is back to August Bank Holiday weekend. Weather permitting, there's a plan for the first meeting at The Old Piggery cafe at Combermere for Sunday 15th February. Entries are open for Audlem Transport Festival on Sunday 26th July.

I hope to go to the The Old Piggery at Combermere meeting but have heard it can be so busy cars get turned away, is there any truth in that? Katzenjammer said:

Yes, they had a very busy meeting early on last year (or maybe 2024) that led to some queueing and impatience on the road outside, some near misses, so now they control the numbers quite strictly. The meeting on December 28th was well-attended and there were a few turned away. Often it's just a case of going away for a bit then coming back when someone has left. Unfortunately there's no way to predict when it'll happen - the weather plays a part, of course.Gassing Station | North West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
