LOL its time to give up being a petrolhead when you think a Challenge Stradale and BMW CSL racecar sound shte
The problem is, driving an R400, we don't truly know what your engines sound like as were never behind you for long enough to hear them. You're only a true petrolhead when you come to terms with the fact that fancy names and bags of cash don't always produce the best goods

What does POS mean,
I've tried to fathom out the caterham and POS link, but I can't find any reference to this at caterham s website

Sincerely Bob
The generic meaning is Piece Of st. Bit harsh (and IMHO incorrect) to call an r400 a POS.I've tried to fathom out the caterham and POS link, but I can't find any reference to this at caterham s website

Sincerely Bob

I was finding this argument rather amusing and had no desire to get involved what so ever until this chap came along and decided to get himself involved purely for the opportunity to spout off his list of cars. Even though the original comment had nothing to do with his cars or their marque. However, you've got to question anyone who claims to have a Ferrari CS and starts their sentence with "LOL".
Being young I have aspirations to own a Ferrari in the hope that I can share the experience with like minded people who would likely have a similar level of education, maturity and common sense to myself. Every time I see a post like this a little part of that dream dies.

If you thought that about a Caterham of all things then I suggest that was the fault of the driver, not the car. They're widely accepted to be one of the best cars for driving out there, are you seriously saying that all those magazines for all these years have had it wrong?
Have you ever owned one?I bought mine brand new. The catalogue of failures and issues i had with the car in the short three months i owned it was just fookin beyond belief!!!!
Caterham customer care was woeful too!!!!
Felt like a right driving it on the road too!!!!
ENOUGH PLEASE.
This is a decent forum with decent thread - it is not, like some other forums and sites, an outlet for people to have a dig at other peoples' cars. From what I can read, one person made a subjective comment and someone jumped in with name calling and it has, unfortunately, descended rapidly from there.
John and Mark put a lot of effort into this event, let's try to keep the thread friendly and, more importantly, open

Hi all,
I for one had a very good morning thanks to the guys from Specialist Cars of Malton. My third time at the event and it gets better each time. Lots of great cars and likeminded people to chat to. I received some nice comments on my Roush S/C MG although my fuel tank was slightly emptied due to the many requests to fire it up :-)
It was good to see that spirited departures (within reason) were permitted and as you can see on you tube there were plenty of guys and girls enjoying the noise! Unfortunately for me, in three events I have not seen any of mine as it departed :-( Probably due to everyone thinking it was just a standard MG ZT / Rover 75 and stopped filming lol
Oh well we all have a cross to bear :-)
Thanks again to all who helped to raise money for a great cause.
