My work shed, 2001 Volvo S60 T5, has a leak on the rim so a refurb needed, otherwise it's in excellent condition.

Popped up to Wheel Specialist in Garforth who quoted me £330 for an over night dip followed by silver spray.

This represents 25% of the value of the car, I've gone back 3 years through the forum looking at this topic, every place seems to get slatted eventually, any suggestions for a more middle of the road price please.

If it's a shed then I doubt you will find anywhere cheaper than Cas Coatings. Never used them myself mind.

£330 for a proper spray job isn't bad. I've paid more for mine in the past.

Russ and Tim at Jorvik Engineering. I would be surprised if you can find anyone slating them anywhere.

They have done work on our Z4. Good guys.

The other well recommended in these parts is Ian Jemison at Bishopthorpe.

the lads I know use LSN coatings in Castleford or metal magic in Barnsley

cant say I've ever had the need to use either but as its an old dog Volvo you may find it cheaper to actually buy a wheel and tyre from ebay

Thanks all so far.

Jorvik seems a good better for my 350z tart up pre Le Mans.

As for the Volvo, read some awful reviews on Cas Coatings but the killer there is you have to take wheels in tyreless so that's a no.

I've used LSN for bike bits and they've always done a decent job.

I have used LSN for all sorts, arbs, bike frames etc, they are good and cheap.

However for wheels use Midas Touch, also in Cas - its a proper dodgy looking place but they are great, cheap, and crucially, remove and fit tyres. Thus they have a vested interested in being careful to not damage the wheel they have literally just painted.

Think my last set were £45 a corner all in (small wheels mind).

They are down the back of where the Peugeot dealer is.

I can recommend Ian Jamison, as long as you don't want any exotic colours , his powder coating colour pallet is very limited.
He will do a drive in drive out service for £65/wheel + VAT.
I left my car with him overnight. Had mine done in Anthracite & the quality of the job is excellent, even used black wheel weights which is a nice touch.

And another

I've used Ian Jamison and I'll be going back when my current wheels need a refurb.

Today had Pristine Wheel and Smart Repair based in Otley to change the colour of wheels on SL from rather boring silver to Anthracite and he did a really great job. Whilst he was doing wheels he did side pods in same colour which where silver and getting a bit flakey. Really good job and real improvement to look of the car, all done at my home. His number is 07985328738

Well nothings simple or easy these days is it!!!!?

After Snotrags recommendation above drove down to Midas Touch today, wasted journey. He's right they'll take the tyres off the rim but not the car. With most of these places you have to put the car on bricks, then find another big enough to transport 4 wheels, it's just to much grief.

In conclusion, as it's the shed gone with V8convert now, Pristine wheels Otley. I know it's only a frontal job, tyre deflated but kept on the rim, not sure of the quality in the back of a van but heh ho it's easy & will suffice for my needs.

Might try Jamieson for the Zed though.
