Hi

We are visiting Castleford (Diggerland!) this Sunday and fancy driving up (in the new car!) on the Saturday and staying over. Can anyone recommend a nice-ish hotel in the area? We thought about Leeds City Centre but I'm not sure there'd be much to do there for our four-year-old of a Saturday afternoon/evening.

Anything else recommended within 10 miles? Wentbridge House looks nice.

Thanks

Few nice places in Leeds, if you want closer, there’s a premier inn in glass Houghton (2 miles from digger land) only a few years old, and they’re always okay

Have you tired the various booking options with Oulton Hall..? We had a client that requested. They wanted to stop there for 2 nights.. My secretary rang directly to be told they were fully booked but then went onto

We had a really good weekend actually. The Queens Hotel was ok if a little tired, but it had aircon and the (family) room was nice and quiet.

Dinner at the Crafthouse was really nice. Unusually for a place like that they were very accommodating to our 4-year-old.

Diggerland was good despite the thousands of tiny black flies everywhere! More importantly, we were able to charge the car and spotted another Tesla in the car park (possibly the owners).

Cheers
